Basic Needs Basic needsStudies show that from the age of six months, babies recognize their basic needs, but they have not yet adopted verbal communication ability. Their vocal cords are still undeveloped, and their only way to communicate is expressed through crying.As parents, many times we feel helpless when facing the basic needs of our child.From the child’s point of view, unsatisfied needs are expressed through crying. We then try our best to understand the need.With simple signs they can express those needs in a way we can understand. The signs in this series are based on different sign languages from around the world and have been adopted to the respective motoric ability of babies and toddlers.
