Alex Gladstein has focused on how bitcoin can be a tool to promote democracy and civil rights in the world. He is director of strategy for the Human Rights Foundation, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that promotes and protects human rights around the world.He previously served as Vice President of Strategy for the Freedom Forum in Oslo, since its founding in 2009. He has published his articles and opinions on human rights and technology in different media outlets around the world, including The Atlantic, BBC, CNN , The Guardian, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and WIRED, among others. He has lectured at universities such as MIT and Stanford; in the European Parliament and in the US State Department. He is a professor at Singularity University. Gladstein is an advisor to Blockchain Capital, a leading fintech company. He frequently gives lectures on bitcoin and the future of money. He is a co-author of “The Little Bitcoin Book” from 2019.Alex Gladstein was born in the United States.
